It is with great sadness we are sharing news of the passing of Guy Muoio, 85 of Mantoloking, New Jersey.  Guy served as NARI National President during 1989-1990 and was a respected leader and cherished friend of the remodeling industry.  He was a veteran, remodeling firm owner, volunteer, author, loving husband and father.

Guy was born in New York City, raised in Staten Island and graduated from City College of New York in 1952.  Along with his wife Mary, Mr. Muoio founded GUYMAR Construction Company in Livingston in 1975.  Along with the location of his business, Livingston was his home for 45 years until moving to Mantoloking in 2003.

During his many years running GUYMAR Construction Company, Mr. Muoio was very active in the promotion of professionalism and improving the reputations of the home remodeling industry.  As President and Board Member for 10 years, Guy traveled extensively to the 75 chapters throughout the country.  He loved travel and took multiple trips with his wife and five children.

In 2010, Mr Muoio authored a book chronicling 100 years of his Italian immigrant family and their work together on the family farm in Staten Island.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mary A/ (Burns) Muoio, three sons and their wives, one daughter and her husband, and another daughter.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, a brother and sister along with many nieces and nephews.
