A small but interactive crowd was in attendance at the recent Bureau of Workman’s Compensation seminar held at the offices of Miami Valley NARI on March 12.  Erin Rosiello, the Regional Business Development Manager from the Cincinnati BWC office, spoke to the group about the current updates at the BWC and the move to Prospective Billing.   The BWC is moving in this direction because it is good business.  This has been a change that was 20 years in the making and finally a reality.

“Normally to make this kind of switch, a double payment would need to be made but as BWC has been fiscally responsible and good stewards of our fund, we are able to cover the cost of a transition credit so no employer will be double billed because of this change.”

Also discussed were the recent rebates sent to employers over the last two years as well as the availability of significant grants available to employers to invest in new equipment that improves safety in their working environments.
